Reclocating from NJ.. We can't affored it here anymore.. I read something on a blog that they posted from
Florida that their taxes were high and paying $4,700. Well that's nothing we are paying over $8,000 a year in property taxes.. A few house down the street is paying $13,000 and our houses are selling between $300,000 - $450,000.
So we need out. !!
Does anyone know why there are more houses in Palm Coast for Rent then Port Orange. II can't decide between the 2 areas. Houses are cheaper in Palm Coast but I heard there is nothing to do there.. In Port Orange you have alot of action through out the year because of Daytona so close... Can anyone give advise... We are a young family with kids and the oldest is going into high school next year.. Any advice on the Schools. I heard Spruce Creek is a good school. Please advise.

Palm Coast is suffering from over-building and the prices will show pressure until the excess inventory is absorbed. Port Orange is a more established town and has quite a few amenities and more stability as far as pricing.
In the Port Orange area we have the Spruce Creek Fly-in community, which is the world's largest residential airpark. A gated private community with its own golf course, country club and private airstrip!...
Properties range from $160,000 condos to 8-million+ hangar mansions.
